Welcome to the Arts, Health and Wellbeing programme

We are a thematic, multidisciplinary programme funded by the Economic and Social Research Council aiming to develop understandings of how the arts may contribute to health and wellbeing. As well as the Seminar Series, we are also developing a UK Arts and Health Research Network, supported by Lankelly Chase Foundation. The network involves academics, working alongside practitioners, service-users and commissioners to develop research projects of the highest quality and of national and international significance.

As from the summer of 2016, the network is being hosted as a Special Interest Group at the Royal Society for Public Health. Details for the network can be found here.
